Shopping with my 'boyfriend'
"I will be late, today", I told him, as I started pulling out my car keys. After waking up from a deep slumber, he sat up rubbing his eyes, his attention wavering over to a stack of cookies that I had left for him beside his bed. I smiled. The chocolatey draft had probably woken him. Taking a bite, he asked me where I was going. "To the mall, I need some stuff", I replied in a hurry. Blinking his eyes like a five year old and munching at the same time, he said that he wanted to go too. Assuming that he also had things to buy, I gave him a nudge and asked him to get ready as soon as possible. As we drove over, I told him that it would take me some time to shop. He quipped up that it was cool with him. We parked our car and headed over to aisle 5 to buy some spices and ingredients.
